Pich the impact of the immobilization of copper complexes into microgels on the catalytic activity. Therefore, copper bis(pyrazolyl)methane complexes were anchored in a <em>N<\/em>-vinyl caprolactam based microgels. These new catalytic systems were used for the aerobic oxidation of benzyl alcohols towards the respective aldehydes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our studies show that the catalytic activity of the copper complex can be significantly increased due to the immobilization into microgels. This can be attributed to the special environment on the inside of the microgels.
