G3N

Quantitative analysis and visualization methods for responsive microgel microscopy data

Microgels observed through single molecule localization microscopy appear as point clouds with points corresponding to the dye molecules. In project G3N, we will develop the computational tools for a comprehensive quantitative analysis of point cloud data, computing features that fully characterize a microgel, measuring and visualizing changes of the soft and deformable microgels under different experimental conditions. Generative models will allow us to make predictions that can be tested experimentally. Combining point cloud data with pixel data from other modalities complements the computational toolkit and holds the promise of a more complete structural description of microgels.
